You Are Blessed

I wanted to take the opportunity to remind you and myself of our standing in the kingdom of God. While we are here on earth, awaiting our time to be reunited with God, we often may feel or be told where we stand in society. We all come from different backgrounds, different upbringings, and even different religious preferences and traditions. But we are all Blessed. I use a capital B because it’s coming from God. He is our divine supplier and redeemer!

We are supplied with all the things we could ever need. Want is another story, since God knows what we need but this is usually different from what we want or think we need. ” So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.” (Mt 6:31-33) God knows what we need and if we keep Him first place, He will provide. So the song goes “…God will provide, all that we need. Here at the table of plenty!” There’s also another saying that I love; where God guide God provides. Sometimes we feel we aren’t getting what we need when we need it. It takes patience and faith. But God always comes through! As I have written before, if it’s in the Bible, it’s the truth! God cannot lie.

We are also saved. It doesn’t matter what we’ve done or haven’t done, what misdeeds and wrongdoings we’ve committed. God gives us His unconditional love! He pours out this gift every day! All we have to do is say, “God, I receive your love.” This affirms a gift that is already ours and displaces fear, doubt, concern, sadness, and chaos. When we accept His love, we are saying we accept His peace and His light. We are blessed because we don’t actually have to do anything. We just speak words and believe that His power can drive out our negative feelings and bam! We are struck with a sense of tranquility.

The important thing to remember in all of this is repetition and consistency. We can say everyday, multiple times a day, “I am blessed and highly favored. I accept Your love and peace. Thank Your for the abundance You have prepared for me.” We are speaking a strong prayer. We are inviting God into our circumstances. We are acknowledging His power is greater than our own. We are practicing an act of humility. This brings us closer to God but also removes the burden from us. What a relief!

God is blessing us every day. We just need to accept His blessings.
