The final week had drawn to a close. There was so much going on, I had completely neglected in doing the weekly blog. It was a long week, mostly due to a fast I was doing, but also with work and some other personal things. Let’s just say, once Sunday hit, I was in a much better place.
Did I hit my goal of doing my Lenten promises everyday? No. Does it matter? No. Am I perfect? Absolutely not, and I don’t have to be. God loves me just the same as He ever does. I have learned more about myself this Lent and so I can appreciate different aspects I was blind to before and I can live with a little more humility. The point is, Jesus has redeemed me through His death and nothing can separate me from His love.
Now that Easter is over, it can be easy to slip back to old ways, the things we did over 40 days ago. Stay strong and stay faithful to your new way of life. Your new heart. Continue those prayers, those acts of service, those sacrifices. Continue to be a light shining in the darkness.
